Tip #2, Rethink your processes with UBBYK!

Ubbyk, the onboarding solution supported by the HEC Incubator, is currently adapting its technology to the needs of hospitals, in this period of sanitary crisis. It is also sharing its best practices with its peers.

Team UBBYK

Part of the Winter Batch 2020 of the HEC Incubator at Station F, the start-up company UBBYK offers to medium-sized companies and large corporations a modern and fully automated process for managing and organizing integrations. The onboarding can be external, for new recruits, or internal when it comes to integrating a person into a new team. The employee is thus integrated in such a way that he or she is quickly at ease and operational.

In the context of the current health crisis and in order to help nursing staff, UBBYK is currently adapting its technology to the needs of hospitals to help and facilitate the recruitment of retired nurses and nursing staff.

The start-up also supports the many companies of our entrepreneurial and managerial community by organizing online workshops. It is an ideal time to take stock of the current and future situation, as well as to anticipate possible post-crisis mobility.

Find their many tips and best practices for entrepreneurs and managers on their blog and in their Resources section! There is lots of advice for facing the crisis (mostly in French)

UBBYK, onboarding made easy

As an employee, integration into a new team is sometimes not as pleasant and obvious as one would hope. A new job, new responsibilities, new colleagues, a multitude of things to remember and often very little time to do so. According to one study, no less than 88% of recruits are not satisfied with their integration.

While internal mobility may seem more obvious, it is no less complex. For the head of the company or manager, the question also arises: welcoming the newcomer, meeting the teams and forecasting supplies, team restructuring ... how can you manage these integrations in an optimal way?

It is at this precise moment that UBBYK, co-created by Etienne Retout and Etienne Page, both HEC Alumni (double degree in Civil Engineering from Les Ponts et chaussées and HEC Paris, and who have passed through the X-Entrepreneur major) and Aubry Hanrion (Lille Institute of Political Studies), comes into play.

If an employee's integration begins once he or she has accepted the offer, it may extend up to six months after his or her actual arrival in the department. Numerous stakeholders will be involved in turn at the various stages of this integration: Manager - HR referent - CIO - Buddy... Fluidity in the process will allow each one to intervene adequately at the necessary moment and to free them from any mental burden.

Etienne Retout

By giving the right information to the right person at the right time, UBBYK optimizes the onboarding experience by providing the employee with the resources necessary  to carry out his or her  work. It simplifies the life of managers and HR by harmonising the way their onboarding is carried out. Rather than concentrating on administrative tasks, managers are able to put people back at the heart of the process and offer their employees a whole new experience.

Indeed, Ubbyk's vocation is not to replace human contact but on the contrary to facilitate the conversation between all stakeholders (read here about the ‘nudge’ theory)

"Ubbyk optimizes and automates repetitive tasks so you can focus on what really matters: the human" explains Etienne Retout, co-founder.

For ease of use, the platform has chosen not to use a login or password, thus allowing all types of employees to use it (executives, operators, telephone advisers, temporary workers, etc.).

So? What are you waiting for to start? ?
