AI : A Partnership between the Court of Cassation, the Bar Council of the Council of State and Court of Cassation, HEC Paris and Ecole Polytechnique
The French Court of Cassation leverages on artificial intelligence and signs a partnership agreement, with the President of the Ordre des Avocats aux Conseils (ed, Bar Council of the Council of State and Court of Cassation) and the research professors of HEC Paris and Ecole Polytechnique.
Using the potential capabilities of new technologies, this partnership aims to study the process of cases judged at the Court of Cassation. The initial duration of the study will be 18 months and will accompany the reflection on the role of the Court of Cassation.
The Court will thus make available to researchers procedural documents and judgments, previously pseudonymized, in order to identify the legal arguments and questions, connections, and attempt to assess the complexity of a case.
The study will be carried out under the scientific responsibility of Professors David Restrepo Amariles (HEC Paris) and Michalis Vazirgiannis (École polytechnique).
