Client Experience Certificate Concludes with Engagement Tool Challenge
Four teams of HEC Paris students from Masters and MBA programs took part in the Client Experience Challenge - as part of the LVMH Certificate - on campus on June 2nd, pitching their ideas for engagement tools to experts from Louis Vuitton.
The Client Experience Certificate held its grand finale on June 2nd with the “Excellence in Client Experience” challenge. As a non-degree program available to students from all HEC Paris courses, the Certificate is run in collaboration with LVMH and aims to empower participants to strategically and creatively enhance the value of luxury brands.
The challenge, which took place in a packed, 300-seater auditorium on the HEC Paris campus, was the culmination of what the students had learned across the Certificate, through seminars with industry professionals, lectures by guest speakers, and visits to some of LVMH’s houses. With the participants split into several teams, each group had prepared a presentation outlining their idea for an engagement tool designed to enhance the experience of a client in a Louis Vuitton boutique. On the day, the four best teams were selected to present in front of a jury comprising Louis Vuitton experts.
The teams consisted of a mixture of students from the Grande Ecole, MBA, and MSc programs, and each one brought something different to the presentation, with videos and interactive graphics used to convey the various mobile apps, geolocalization tools and payment solutions that they had created. The students will be hoping to use the Certificate and the high-pressure situation of the challenge as a springboard to enter into the professional world, with many looking to launch careers in the luxury industry itself.
“This year the Certificate was focused on client-experience”, said Juliette Lailler, a student of the Grande École Master in Management program and a member of the winning team. “We had top executives telling us what they implement in their brand, and it was really cool to have different insights from them directly,” she added. Juliette explained that the Certificate serves as an excellent turning point between studying and working life: “We are at the very end of our HEC years, we start working in one month, so this is a good way to have a transition between the theory and how you practically apply it.”
Helen Shi, MBA student and a finalist in the challenge said: “Coming to HEC Paris, one of my goals was to enter into the luxury industry, and this has been an eye-opening experience for me. Certificates like these are a really valuable way to learn more information and meet interesting people.”
