The group activities and the individual project pushed my imagination and creativity to an extent that I never thought I was capable of!

I am a Physics graduate aspiring to make a career transition to management. Over the past year I have been seeking opportunities that would induct me into the global business landscape. To aid my professional transition, I aspire to pursue Masters in Management. For any MiM aspirant, France and HEC Paris top the list of study destinations. My constant pursuit of knowledge coupled with my aspiration to join HEC as a master’s student boosted my desire to experience the HEC Excellence at the earliest. That is my story of joining the Summer Cohort of Geopolitics, Globalization and Business Strategy.

  
The program introduced me to a very unconventional way to think about strategy creation in a complex world dominated by extreme uncertainties. Professor Jeremy Ghez engaged the class with his unique sense of humour coupled with exceptional insights into developing business strategies that are resilient. 
The activities designed by Professor Ghez to develop our conceptual understanding were intellectually stimulating. One such activity was designed for us to imagine a hypothetical extreme situation and consider what fictional factors might lead a company to that extreme end. We then had to develop strategies that would build resilience to these factors.  We also worked on an individual project to consolidate the concepts discussed in the class every day.

 
The group activities and the individual project pushed my imagination and creativity to an extent that I never thought I was capable of! The discussions that Professor Ghez initiated during the classes were extremely rewarding; I realized the true value diversity brings to a classroom. 

My experience at HEC Paris Summer School, which spanned across 2 weeks, was nothing short of phenomenal. Beyond academics, the social events facilitated to deepen the bonding with international peers. I was also delighted to explore the vast spread HEC Paris Campus. Regardless of which program one chooses, with no doubt, HEC Paris Summer School will go down as one of the best experiences that one can have.
