HEC’s MBA Program Climbs Five Places in Annual FT Ranking

HEC’s MBA Program Climbs Five Places in Annual FT Ranking

The HEC Paris MBA places 12th worldwide in the Financial Times Global MBA rankings 2024. The program ranked high in the Aims Achieved, Career Progression, and International Course Experience categories and  climbed up five places in the annual FT MBA classifications.

“In a field which grows more competitive every year, we can be proud of this ranking” said Omar El Arfaoui, Director of Accreditations, Data and Rankings at HEC. “We have been very consistent in all the fields, but I am particularly pleased by our placement in International Mobility, which shows many of our graduates found work in new countries, and International Course Experience, which demonstrates that many students found internships abroad during their studies.”

For Brad Harris, Associate Dean of MBA Programs at HEC Paris, the latest rankings confirm the fact that HEC students and alumni are being recognized as world leaders “with the character, competence, and courage to change the world.” He added:“We placed in the top 5 for Aims Achieved and top 10 for Career Progress, both of which confirm that the HEC MBA program is a launchpad for our graduates’ career.”

The FT rankings comes just six months after the school’s outstanding showing in the QS World University classifications in which its MBA program ranked among the World’s Top 5. “To me, these indicators reflect the tremendous talent and drive of our students and alumni, as well as the great efforts invested by our faculty and staff,” says Harris, whose primary research includes leadership, team dynamics, and HR systems in rapidly growing organizations. “While our primary objective is not to climb in the rankings, I am pleased that our program is being positively recognized in our pursuit to build leaders who are answering the challenges of tomorrow.”

Illustrious examples of successful HEC MBA graduates are not hard to find. Demba Sy, for example, has recently been endorsed as Director General at Allianz Insurance Company of Kenya while Michelle Lau has just been promoted to Co-general manager of Ali Baba France. Meanwhile, Nelly Chatue-Diop was recently named at the head of Ejara, a mobile investment company based on the blockchain.

Just a few of the dozens of the school’s MBA alumni who in 2023 showed exemplary leadership qualities in moving the cursor forward.
