Thierry Foucault has been a finance professor at HEC Paris since 1998, and a research fellow at the Center for Economic Policy and academic fellow at the Europlace Institute of Finance since 2003. Foucault has taught internationally at schools including Carnegie Mellon University (USA), the Nordic Finance Network, Oxford University (Saïd Business School), and Pompeu Fabra University (Spain). His research focuses on the determinants of financial markets liquidity, the industrial organization of these markets, and their effect on the real economy.
