Wacky Workplace Cultures – using innovative ideas to create a highly productive workplace culture

HEC Paris Professor Thomas Paris conducted a study on the creative process of generating innovative ideas used at Ubisoft, the third largest developer of videogames in the world. His research showed “that the innovation process for videogames allowed freedom for developers as it does not have specific set objectives. It is this flexibility that he suggests other sectors could adopt in order to foster their own innovations.” The study demonstrates clearly that bringing together different departments and allowing them to share ideas and look at business from a new perspective automatically creates fertile ground for innovative ideas within a company.
