11 December 2018

Olivier Sevillia (MBA. 90), Capgemini’s Chief Executive for Europe, has been named President of the HEC Foundation. He takes over from Bertrand Léonard (H.85), who has worked tirelessly towards the school’s development ever since becoming President of the HEC Foundation in 2015.

An engineer by training, Olivier Sevillia is a graduate of the MBA program at HEC Paris and an Executive Program at Stanford University.

In 1990, he joined Capgemini, where he has held a number of roles in information technology and consultancy. He joined Capgemini’s Executive Committee in 2009, initially as the Chief Executive for France and Southern Europe and subsequently as Chief Executive for Continental Europe, before joining Capgemini’s Group Executive Board in 2013.

Today, Olivier Sevillia remains Capgemini’s Chief Executive for Europe. His work oversees a turnover of 7 billion Euros per annum and 75,000 men and women across the continent and in India.

Extremely committed to the world of higher education, he has worked alongside his alma maters on a voluntary basis for a number of years, as the President of the Administrative Council at ENSIEE, a sponsor of the digital teaching chair between Capgemini and HEC Paris, and as a member of the HEC Alumni Association. In addition, he has been one of the HEC Foundation’s Major Donors for over 10 years.

Speaking on the subject of the appointment, HEC Paris Dean Peter Todd said, “Thank you to Olivier for agreeing to take on this new challenge on top of his work as a company executive. A Major Donor and a devoted follower of HEC Paris, Olivier is an important patron who has always known how to combine his sense of values and loyalty with a pragmatic and efficient outlook. His work will be essential to the Foundation’s new campaign, as he allies a rich international experience with a nuanced understanding of the issues involved in innovation and the transformation of our society.”

Olivier Sevillia added, “I would like to express my warm thanks to Bertrand Léonard for his dedication to the Foundation throughout his four years as President, and to congratulate him for all that he has achieved in this time. Bertrand played an important role in ensuring that the school received EESC status and he has placed the Foundation on a very favorable trajectory in terms of our upcoming fundraising campaign.”
