Strategy & Business Policy

Strategic management is concerned with the management and performance of the corporation as a whole. The Strategy & Business Policy department studies firms in their competitive environment. Central phenomena we investigate include performance and firms' strategic decisions - among others alliance, acquisition, entrepreneurship and CSR.

Our research, course development, and teaching draws on multiple disciplines, including economics, sociology, and psychology. We run numerous courses and programs for the Grande Ecole, the MBA as well as in Executive Education.

Our PhD specialization consists of 15 students on average, working closely with us. Academically oriented, our PhD alumni work today in prestigious  international institutions.

Several research centers gather our members with other colleagues, including the Innovation Center and the Center for Society and Organization (SnO) http://www.societyandorganizations.org.

Our research regularly appears in the field's leading scientific journals. Our faculty members have published numerous books and notably the fifth edition of "Strategor" in 2009, which presents the most recent development in terms of strategy and business policy.
