Biographie

Itzhak Gilboa est titulaire d'une licence en mathématiques et informatique et d'une licence en économie à l'Université de Tel Aviv. Il a ensuite obtenu son mastère en économie en 1984 puis son doctorat, sous la direction de David Schmeidler, en 1987.

Il a enseigné de nombreux cours en microéconomie, théorie de la décision, théorie des jeux, psychologie et économie, aussi bien à la Grande Ecole qu'au MBA.

Il est l'auteur de nombreux ouvrages, tels que Analogies and Theories: Formal Models of Reasoning, Oxford University Press, 2015 ; Theory of Decision under Uncertainty, Cambridge University Press, 2009 ; Rational Choice, MIT Press, 2010 and  Making Better Decisions, Wiley-Blackwell, 2010.

Ses récents travaux de recherche sont  publiés dans les revues internationales prestigieuses telles que American Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, Annual Reviews in Economics, BE Journals in Theoretical Economics, Econometrica, Economics and Philosophy, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Mathematical Social Sciences, Review of Economics and Statistics, The Journal of Econometrics.

Itzhak Gilboa est aussi titulaire de la Chaire AXA en Sciences de la Décision.
