Biographie

Julien Jourdan est Professeur de Management et de Ressources Humaines à HEC Paris. Il enseigne le management et le leadership dans les programmes de doctorat, de MSc et de MBA. Il assume actuellement la fonction de Coordinateur du département de Management et de Ressources Humaines (MHR).

Ses travaux de recherche portent sur la réputation, la légitimité et, plus largement, les évaluations sociales des organisations. Il étudie en particulier la manière dont les parties prenantes évaluent les organisations dans des environnements institutionnels complexes, ainsi que l’influence de ces évaluations sur les comportements organisationnels, les stratégies et la performance. Ses recherches ont été publiées dans des revues académiques de premier plan, telles que American Journal of Sociology, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science et Strategy Science. Il est Senior Editor de la revue Organization Studies.

Avant de rejoindre HEC Paris, il a occupé des postes académiques à l’Imperial College London, à l’Université Bocconi et à PSL–Paris Dauphine. Avant sa carrière universitaire, il a travaillé au sein d’un studio de cinéma, une expérience qui nourrit encore aujourd’hui son intérêt pour les industries créatives.
