Biographie

Diplômé en droit de l'Université catholique de Milan (Italie), Matteo Winkler a travaillé douze ans comme avocat international au barreau de Milan en menant en parallèle une carrière universitaire avec la publication de plusieurs articles en italien, en anglais et en français. Il a complété son doctorat en droit international et économie de l'Université Bocconi et son LL.M de la faculté de droit de l'Université Yale en 2007. Il est membre de la faculté d'HEC Paris depuis 2014.

Ses recherches couvrent des domaines aussi divers que les droits humains et le droit commercial international. Il s'est notamment intéressé dans un grand nombre de publications aux questions relatives aux personnes LGBT (lesbiennes, gays, bisexuelles et trans*). Pour son activité de recherche dans ce domain, en 2019 il a été reconnu par l'association L'Autre Cercle comme un role model pour les personnes LGBT+ et allié(e)s en France.
