Oussama Abi Younes

Thank you for reaching out and providing me the opportunity to share my journey and experiences at HEC Paris. My name is Oussama Abi Younes from Byblos, Lebanon, and I am pursuing a Master's in Economics and Finance. My previous work in economic research in Lebanon inspired me to dive deeper into finance, a transition made possible with the invaluable support from CMA CGM.

My time at HEC Paris has been truly enriching. The plethora of resources available to us as students has significantly aided me in pursuing my academic and professional ambitions. The connections, acquaintances, and friends I have made here have immensely enriched my experience, making my time both enjoyable and fruitful.

I am excited to inform you that I have accepted an offer from FTI Consulting in Paris, where I will engage in economic and financial consulting for energy projects starting this September. This opportunity aligns perfectly with my primary goal for joining HEC Paris. Achieving this has been a result of focused effort, hard work, and the critical support from CMA CGM.

Looking ahead, my current ambition is to solidify my understanding and practice in finance, which is why I am also seeking roles during the summer. This will prepare me for my upcoming role at FTI and allow me to explore other areas, including shipping, which interests me. I am also keen on expanding my professional network.
