Marie de France

EMBA - Inclusive and Social Business Certificate

Marie de France

I wanted to be part of to the growing French social business ecosystem

I am Marie, HEC Executive MBA Alumnus and I am working for the French reference organization in the field of occupational safety and health and working conditions.

I decided to follow the Inclusive & Social Business Certificate because I wanted to deepen my understanding of the pitfalls and success factors of inclusive business models. And also to explore the different tools and methods that could be used to develop such models.

I wanted also to be part of to the growing French social business ecosystem and this Certificate was a great opportunity for networking.

Because of the crisis, we will see an increase in poverty and social inequalities. These are shaking the foundation of our society. These inequalities generate risks for business as it is difficult to prosper in an unstable social environment and it also raises distrust on companies. There is an urgency for companies to develop social and inclusive models and to move towards a more inclusive economy. This is also for them an opportunity to differentiate, to innovate and to attract talents.

I think social and inclusive business is a response to one of our key challenge: challenging the shareholder value profit maximisation and questioning the key role business can positively play in society.

This Certificate was an incredible learning experience. It has confirmed my willingness to make a career move and to get involved in inclusive business with strong impact. I do really believe that big companies could be a lever for change.
