Established in 1998 from a generous bequest by Jane M. Klausman, a member of the Zonta Club of Syracuse, New York USA, and the 1990-1995 Zonta International Parliamentarian, the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship is awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or master's degrees in business management.

Eligibility: women of any age, pursuing a business or business-related program who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field and are living or studying in a Zonta district/region, are eligible. Nicolas Baudin grants are travel grants designed to encourage Australian students to undertake a semester or a full year of studies in a French University. This travel Grant from the Embassy of France is worth $2,300.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Australian nationality.

Duration: 12 months.

Number of Awards: About 16 per year.

Selection Criteria: Applicants for French taught courses must show a strong command of the French language, and for English taught courses it is necessary to show a willingness to learn French.

Amount of Award: $2,300 (Australian dollars) and social cover.

The General Sir John Monash Scholarships are Australia’s prestigious postgraduate scholarship program.  The Scholarships celebrate one of Australia’s finest leaders.

Each year John Monash Scholarships are awarded to outstanding graduates from Australian universities, who have demonstrated leadership skills, and have a vision for a better Australia.

The Scholarship enables them to undertake Masters or Doctoral degrees at the world’s best universities, towards that vision.

Eligibility: Candidates must Australian Citizens, who have completed or are about to complete an undergraduate degree from an Australian University.

Selection Criteria:

  • Outstanding Intellect – demonstrated by academic excellence (having completed or are about to complete a university degree or degrees with outstanding results, such as an honors degree (with a classification of 1 or 2A) or equivalent.  Excellence is also demonstrated through language skills, musical skills and/or publications
  • Leadership – demonstrated and potential – within or outside of an Applicant’s field of study or professional field; Citizenship – community service
  • Program – defined research project or study program to be conducted at an overseas University
  • The case presented by the applicant should signify the applicant’s potential contribution to their field and to the community.

Duration: Maximum three years.

Application Process: Applications are to be submitted online between mid-May and mid-August. There then follows two round of interviews for shortlisted candidates, from which the final selection of scholars are made.

Amount of Award: AUD $60,000 per year

The Entente Cordiale Scholarship Scheme is a prestigious bi-lateral awards scheme that funds French postgraduate students who want to study in the UK, and British students who want to study in France. Funded by the private sector in both countries the scheme provides scholarships for about 20 French and British students each year.

Eligibility: Applicants must be of British nationality.

Selection criteria: Candidates must possess an excellent academic record and a good command of the French language.

Duration: 12 months.

Amount of Award: £11,000.

The General Consulate of France in Québec and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Francophonie in Québec are calling for applications to the 2019-2020 Frontenac Scholarship Program sponsored by the Québec – Nature et Technologie Research Fund.

The scholarship will cover travel costs to France for students from Québec enrolled in a Master’s program in various disciplines. The Frontenac scholarship sum amounts to 6,000 Canadian dollars (approximately 4,000 euros) and is granted to students undertaking project work in France for at least three months. All the information about this program can be found on the website for the General Consulate of France in Québec.

The deadline for applications is 1 May 2019.

Canadian students that plan to study abroad, could still be eligible for a mix of grants and loans through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

The French Embassy in Bogotá offers scholarships to excellent students so that they can pursue postgraduate studies without the worry of financing.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Columbian nationality and no older than 35.

Selection Criteria: Candidates must have been recommended by one of the universities listed as appears on the Campus France scholarship search engine.

Duration: 10 months.

Application Process: The candidate must contact the University or partner institution to be considered for this scholarship. The registration takes place within the member establishments of the Corporation within the internally established dates. The applications are then sent to the SCAC (the Cooperation and Cultural Action Department) of the Embassy which holds the educational interviews and chooses the candidates.

Amount of Award: €800 per month and tuition costs covered up to a maximum of €1000 (Sept-June).

The ‘Fundación para el Futuro de Colombia (Colfuturo) and HEC Paris share an interest in strengthening the bilateral cooperation in the field of education between Colombia and France and promoting stronger ties between the two institutions to increase the financial support available for graduate studies of Colombian students.

The scholarship is awarded to a maximum of 5 exceptional Colombian students wishing to undertake a master program at HEC Paris.

Eligibility: Applicants must be of Colombian nationality and have an offer for a master degree program at HEC and should demonstrate advanced proficiency in a foreign language.

Selection criteria: Applicants must have a strong academic record, assessed by their: undergraduate GPA (Grade Point Average), ranking position within their graduating class and essay.

Duration: 2 years.

Scholarship amount: HEC Paris will allow for a €5,000 reduction in tuition fees for one year, and Colfuturo will reward $50,000, for a period from 9 to 24 months, to cover the remainder of the tuition fees, living allowance and other related costs.

Application process: Students admitted to graduate degree programs offered by HEC Paris will submit a Loan-Scholarship application to Colfuturo from January 7th to February 29th, following the normal application procedures and meeting all the standard requirements established by Colfuturo. No acceptance letter is required to apply.

The Zdeněk Bakala Foundation’s Scholarship program is about giving talented and driven students the support they need to make their dreams come true. Young Czechs or Czech residents living and studying in the Czech Republic who are looking for an academic experience are able to apply for a scholarship which will enrich them intellectually and propel them towards achieving their goals. The Foundation supports students who want more from studying abroad than language immersion and cultural exchange – the scholarship is for students who don’t just want to experience; they want to accomplish.

Eligibility: Candidates must be Czech or Czech residents living and studying in the Czech Republic.

Selection Criteria: Being actively engaged with the community reflects qualities the foundation looks for in applicants, so recipients of the scholarship are hoped to choose to do charity work not only while at university, but for the rest of their lives.

  • At the end of your first degree if you wish to continue your studies in a foreign university. Graduates who have completed one of the following final examinations at a state or state-recognized university in Germany or an accredited degree program at a Berufsakademie or have an equivalent foreign degree before applying for a scholarship are eligible: 

    • a three-year Bachelor 

    • Master 

    • Magister 

    • diploma 

    • 1st or 2nd legal exam 

    • 1st or 2nd state examination for the Magisterium

  • If you wish to undertake a year abroad as part of your Master’s degree. 

  • If you plan a further study period abroad after your first postgraduate work experience. 

This scholarship is initially awarded for one academic year. If you are applying for a more than one-year project / study program, you can usually apply for an extension. In any case, the application must mention the entire duration of the program. The decision on the extension depends inter alia on the services provided in the first year and the corresponding reports.

Students are admitted to the Studienstiftung on the basis of their outstanding intellectual or artistic and creative skills, their dedication and intrinsic motivation, their social skills, wide-ranging extracurricular interests, and social commitment. We attach great importance to open and fair selection procedures. When evaluating the potential of young people, we consider their achievements and commitment to both their studies and extra-curricular activities in the light of their individual backgrounds. 

We assess the reasons for the application, the plausibility and feasibility of the suggested project, how it might contribute to your future career, your academic qualifications, your linguistic and regional knowledge and the state of preparation of your stay abroad.

These scholarships were established as a way to reward excellence in the most meaningful way. IKY plans and implements these programs for those wishing to obtain further qualifications in Greece or abroad and to gain academic and professional distinctions.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Greek nationality and up to the age of 39.

Selection Criteria: Candidates going abroad are required to have a C2 language level.

Duration: 12 months for a Master 2.

Application Process: Candidates have to sit an exam in their area of study and those with the highest grades are awarded the scholarship.

Amount of Award: €686 per month and €450 for the initial costs of settling in.

The "Propontis" Foundation and its founders have the ambition to offer their contribution by granting scholarships for postgraduate and doctoral studies, both in Greece and abroad, to promising and talented young students.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Greek nationality and be no older than 26 (limit of 28 for men who have completed compulsory military service).

Selection Criteria: Applicants must have a minimum average score of 7/10 from their university degree or an ‘Assez bien’ grade (13/20) in a French M1 is required.

Vrika is a scholarship program from the French Embassy in Greece. The program was established in collaboration with several partners, Greek and French: businesses, foundations, higher education institutions, institutions of research etc. Scholarships are offered to young Greek students wishing to undertake Master studies (Master 2, specialized master or MBA) in France with the prospect of a return to Greece. Since 2004, 156 Greek students have taken up studies in France in their field of excellence.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Greek nationality and between the ages of 22 and 28.

Selection criteria: Applicants will be selected based on academic results, the coherence of their professional plan and their motivation. 

Duration: 10 months.

Application Process: Candidates must complete and send their application form by email or by post. Selected candidates will pass onto the second phase and attend an interview, either in French or English, in Athens or Thessaloniki.

Amount of Award: €767 per month, the tuition fees of the welcoming establishment are totally or partially taken care of, social cover and civil liability; the possibility to access to university residential accommodation, subject to availability, or an accommodation allowance ; an allowance to buy study materials ; welcome and support throughout the degree.

The Charpak Scholarship program, run by the French Embassy, offers around 150 of these scholarships each year to Indian citizens. They are awarded to the brightest students and will provide a monthly allowance as well as other benefits to each student pursuing a Masters in France.

The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation under its Scholarship Program awards interest-free loan scholarships to Indian students with a consistently good academic record. The scholarships are awarded to students who wish to pursue their postgraduate studies in the fields of Pure Sciences, Applied Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Law, Architecture and Management at prestigious Indian and international universities.

Eligibility: Candidates must be Indian nationals residing in India and below 30 years of age.

The French government, via its Embassy in Indonesia, has been offering merit-based scholarships to Indonesian citizens for more than 29 years. The scholarship program is there to make dreams of studying in France come true.

  • Candidates from all fields of studies are welcome as selection is primarily based on excellence. However, priority is given to the following fields of study: engineering sciences, sciences, public administration and economics, law and political sciences.

Amount of Award: A monthly allowance is given to the student, as well as a return plane ticket, intensive French language classes (if the student isn’t already at a good level), social cover and tuition fees are covered up to a certain amount.

Funded by the French government since 1988, Chateaubriand fellowships enable and support the mobility and exchange of Israeli students to France. Far from being simple grant holders, Chateaubriand Fellows benefit from the advantages available to French students such as social security, access to university restaurants, lodgings on campus and more as well as help and advice provided by the French Consulate. 

Eligibility:

  • Disciplines: Exact sciences, life sciences, medicine, humanities and social sciences. 
  • For Masters students, Candidates must have Israeli citizenship, should be born after September 1st, 1990 and will need to provide a registration proof from a French University.
  • Dual French-Israeli citizenship owners are not applicable.  

Selection criteria: Applicants will be judged on their academic excellence.

Amount of reward: 700 euros/ month for a period of 12 months as well as covered health insurance.

Scholarship for long-term study abroad for Japanese students: JASSO comprehensively administers scholarship loan programs, support programs for international students, and student support programs. The purpose of these programs is to foster the development of creative individuals who, rich in humanism, will become the leaders of society in the next generation, while at the same time to promote international understanding and exchange.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants for this scholarship must be of Japanese nationality or have a permanent residency of Japan
  • An upper age limit of 32 is in place for Master courses
  • Applicants must also be recommended by a Japanese University in order to be considered.

Selection criteria: For degree courses operated in English, candidates are required to have a TOEFL certificate (PBT 600, CBT 250, iBT 100) or IELTS 7.0 (Academic Module).

Duration: 24 months maximum

Application Process: Candidates have to apply to JASSO through Japanese universities.

Amount of Award: A monthly allowance of JPY89,000  to JPY148,000 depending on the destination. The scholarship also includes tuition fees (but there is an upper limit).

Scholarship Amounts  

The scholarship award varies depending on the degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) and country of study (Lebanon or abroad). 

Disbursement Process  

All scholarships to be disbursed directly into student’s tuition account in coordination with the university’s financial aid office. The amount is paid directly to the university and it will only cover tuition fees. 

Scholarship Format 

As LIFE aims to keep growing the number of students who benefit from this program – although LIFE scholarships are in the form of grants rather than loans – recipients will have to pledge to contribute back the amount(s) disbursed to them within 5 years for postgraduate students and 7 years for undergraduate students, in the form of a contribution to the LIFE scholarship fund in order to benefit the next generation.

  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Finance or finance-related field or the following fields: Engineering, Computer Science, Corporate Law, and Mathematics

In 2018, Nicolas and Michèle Garzouzi wanted to commit, through their foundation, to support access to the HEC Paris Master in Management Program for Lebanese students with limited financial means. 

The scholarships of the Nicolas and Michèle Garzouzi Foundation are reserved exclusively for Lebanese students admitted in M1 and eligible on social criteria. 

Eligibility Criteria for M1 (first year): 

  • Be under the age of 25 on the 1st September of the year of admission to HEC Paris 

  • Be of Lebanese nationality (multinational candidates, of which one nationality is French, are not eligible) 

  • Have relevant social criteria 

  • Have a clean criminal record 

Eligibility criteria for continuation of the bursary in M2 (second year): 

  • Be a recipient of the bursary in M1 

  • Be of Lebanese nationality (multinational candidates, of which one nationality is French, are not eligible)

  • Have obtained a GPA of at least 3.5 in M1 

Amount: The bursaries give the candidate the right to a deduction of 15,000 Euros from their scholarly fees in M1, and then, provided said candidate maintains a GPA of at least 3.5 and the demand is validated by the Garzouzi Foundation, a second sum of 15,000 euros will be deducted from scholarly fees for the M2. 

Application process: Candidates have the choice to apply to one of four admission sessions. When completing their application, they can select to apply to a need-based scholarship which will open the Need-Based Scholarship Form in their Applicant Space. They will have until the Admissibility results publication date of the round to which they applied to complete the form. All scholarship forms completed after the deadline will not be considered. Please note that scholarship results are final.

Grantmaking Procedures: 

All grantmaking will be made in keeping with the stated objectives of the Foundation. Grants and loans will be made directly to the recipients and/or directly to their educational institutions, as determined by the Trustees in consultation with the Board of Advisors. Applications must be made to the Foundation¹s Beirut office. Important factors in the decision-making process will include the level of disadvantage and the level of academic potential. Any form of disadvantage may be considered for qualification, although the primary focus will be on economic disadvantage. Past academic achievement and future academic potential will be considered, through school reports and through recommendations from teachers and other responsible professionals.

Fundación Mexicana Para la Educacion, la Tecnología y la Ciencia (FUNED) and HEC Paris are both convinced by the importance of strengthening the friendship and cooperation links between Mexico and France through cultural and educational exchange. That is why they have reached an agreement for the establishment of a scholarship-loan dedicated to HEC Paris admitted Mexican students.

The scholarship is awarded to a maximum of 5 exceptional Mexican students wishing to undertake a master program at HEC Paris, in the fields of management.

Eligibility: Applicants must be of Mexican nationality, have an offer for a master degree program at HEC Paris and should demonstrate advanced proficiency in a foreign language.

Selection criteria: Applicants must have achieved an undergraduate GPA (Grade Point Average) of 8.0 minimum of 10 point scale in their first degree program (i.e. Licenciatura).

Duration: 2 years.

Scholarship amount: HEC Paris will allow for a maximum €5,000 reduction in tuition fees, and FUNED will reward up to $12,000 to cover the remainder of the tuition fees, living allowance and other related costs.

Application process: Students admitted to graduate degree programs offered by HEC Paris will submit their application to FUNED no later than 90 days before leaving to study their masters, following the normal application procedures and meeting all the standard requirements established by FUNED.

VSB prepare each year a large number of scholarships available for students who are demonstrably involved in their environment and who want to develop further. VSB considers it important to support socially students involved in their ambition to gain knowledge and experience abroad. They take this knowledge and experience again back to the Netherlands and thereby enrich our society.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Dutch nationality and be under the age of 30.

  • The program studied abroad must be a compliment or a specialization of the curriculum already taken in the Netherlands

The Embassy of France to the Philippines offers a scholarship to students admitted in a degree-awarding graduate program (Master’s or PhD). It is aimed at high potential Filipino students.

Eligibility: Applicants must be of Filipina nationality, residing in the Philippines at the time of application. They must be graduate or graduating students of a Philippine university: final-year students or graduates of a Bachelor-level degree.

Application process: Students admitted to graduate degree programs offered at HEC Paris must send to the Embassy of France to the Philippines:

Financed by the French government, the BGF Second Year Master’s Scholarship scheme helps to fund Polish students who wish to pursue the second year of their Master’s degree in France. 

Eligibility:  The scholarship is open to Polish citizens currently entering the final year of their graduate degree course. Travel expenses between Poland and France are not covered and the scholarship cannot be combined with an ERASMUS + scholarship.

Scholarships for tuition fees and social security cover from the French Embassy in Russia are available for Russian students boasting good skills in French or English and willing to pursue a Master’s program in France (firstly Master 2).

Eligibility: These scholarships are open to Russian citizens who are under 35 years old, who hold a higher education degree (as of June of the current year at the latest) and who have never received a scholarship from the French government.

Selection criteria: Applicants can choose any of the disciplines taught in France, but applications for students of programs in scientific, technical and engineering areas will be given special consideration.

Duration: The scholarships last 9 months starting from September-October 2016.

Scholarship amount: The study grants provide a monthly financial support of 767€.
Caution: social security grants don’t provide any financial support allowance.

The Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) Scholarship is synonymous with both prestige and a willingness to serve Singapore. It marks Singapore's continuous effort to recognize outstanding individuals with the aptitude and inclination to contribute to our society. There are two different scholarships which are offered – the Open scholarship and the Tied scholarship – both of which cover the same length of studies but differ on the required field of study for students after graduation.

The prestigious Laurie Dippenaar scholarship for international postgraduate study to the value of R600 000 per annum is available to South African citizens for study outside of South Africa in any discipline at an internationally recognized university of their choice for a postgraduate degree. The successful candidate is required to return to South Africa for a minimum of 5 years after completing their postgraduate studies.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of South African nationality.

Selection Criteria:

  • Preference is given to applicants under the age of 35
  • Applicants must not have already undertaken an over-seas study abroad
  • Applicants should have applied to and been conditionally accepted by their university of choice for the postgraduate course they wish to pursue by April 2015
  • The following factors are taken into account in the awarding of the scholarship: academic excellence, leadership qualities, community involvement and ability to be a destiny change.

The Embassy of France invites South African students to apply for its scholarship program who wish to continue their tertiary education at Master level in France. This program forms part of the commitment between France and South Africa to establish fruitful partnerships between their universities while building a vast network of academic and professional contacts.

Students can either apply for the first year of a Master’s degree (M1) or, if they have an honors degree, the university may admit the student into the second year of a Master’s degree (M2) in order to complete their degree after one year.

Eligibility:

  • Citizenship of South Africa or Lesotho only (temporary or permanent residency excluded)
  • Bachelor’s or Honour’s degree (depending on academic year the student is enrolling for), completed or to be completed by the time the student would depart for France. (Minimum requirement is at least a B-degree, i.e. B.Tech, B.A, B.Com, BSc, etc.)

This scholarship program is offered by the “Bureau Français de Taipei” (BFT) to Taiwanese students to finance their studies abroad in France. There are two types of scholarship on offer; encouragement scholarships which are financed entirely by the BFT and designated for the 1st semester of master studies, and full scholarships which are co-financed by the BFT and the Tsung Cho-Chang Foundation and lasts the duration of the course.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Taiwanese nationality

Selection Criteria: Students from all areas of study are eligible, but courses in science and technology, law, political science and arts and humanities are favored.

Duration: Between 6 and 24 months

The Franco-Thai Scholarship Program aims to support Thai students who intend to study in French universities or Higher Education Institutions, at Master's degree or PhD level. Applicants are reviewed under eligibility criteria and outstanding Thai students will benefit from financial aid to encourage their postgraduate studies in France.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Thai nationality and under the age of 35.

Duration: For Master's degree, the scholarship will be normally granted for the duration of 10 months (2nd year of Master's degree). Nevertheless, in some specific cases, the scholarship could be granted for two years for a Master's degree.

Application Process: Applications are completed entirely online.

Amount of Award: The monthly allowance granted is of €767 per month. The scholarship also includes social protection coverage for the whole stay in France, priority for student housing and a possible round trip to France.

The Jean Monnet Scholarship Program, a project funded by the European Union (EU), aims to increase the number of experts in the EU field and support Turkey’s administrative capacity building efforts for the effective implementation of EU acquis within the framework of Turkey’s negotiation process for full membership to the EU.

Eligibility: Candidates must be of Turkish nationality and under the age of 40.

Selection Criteria: 

  • Candidates should have either a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.50 over 4.00, 70 over 100, or at least 36 months’ work experience relevant to the specific study field they have applied for which has been completed by the date of the application’s deadline.
  • Candidates decide their language of study in advance. The examinations will be held in the selected language and certificates of the selected language need to be submitted together with the application form:
  • French: DELF B2 minimum 65/100 ; DALF C1 or C2 ; TCF or TFI certificates, which can be obtained after taking a test at the French Institute in Turkey.
  • English: TOEFL: 570 (written test) or 230 (computer based) or 89 (internet based).

Duration: From 3 to 12 months

The French-American Chamber of Commerce Foundation (FACC Foundation) was launched in 2012 to sponsor the training and education of the next generation of transatlantic business leaders. Through its highly selective "Serge Bellanger French-American Business Scholarship Program," the FACC Foundation provides financial support to French students seeking to pursue an MBA in the U.S., and to American students who wish to pursue an MBA, a master's degree or a mastère specialisé in a business-related discipline in France.

Every year, the FACC Foundation provides multiple, merit-based scholarships. Each scholarship is worth $10,000 and exclusively covers academic tuition. To date, the FACC Foundation has awarded more than $650,000 in scholarships.

CEA scholarships are available to all CEA program participants and, for those who wish to study abroad in France. Proof of involvement in extra-curricular activities in international or multi-cultural issues is necessary.

  • Letter of recommendation is required

Duration: One semester or a full academic year

Application Process: Applicants must write an original 400–500 word essay describing their involvement in co-curricular activities centered on multi-cultural or international issues. The quality of the essay and overall application determines the sum of each individual’s scholarship.

Amount of Award: The sum of the allowance depends on your ranking; generally $3,000 for first place and $2,000 for second place.

This scholarship program from the French government is aimed at excellent Vietnamese students who wish to continue their studies at a prestigious educational institution in France. Scholars are chosen on based on academic criteria and will benefit from monthly financial aid.
