The World Justice Project (WJP) is an independent organization working to advance the rule of law globally. Because effective rule of law reduces corruption, combats poverty and disease, and protects people from injustices, the WJP has set up a research team to publish a Rule of Law index every year.

The organization is working with multidisciplinary experts across the world to collect data from research on a large number of households and from expert surveys, to measure rule of law adherence in 140 countries and jurisdictions worldwide.

Nicole Stolowy has been a member of the research team that prepares the WJP Rule of Law Index for 7 years.
