Biographie

Roxana Barbulescu est titulaire d'une licence en économie (avec mention) de l'Université Stanford, ainsi que d'un master et d'un doctorat en management de l'INSEAD.

Ses recherches portent sur les mécanismes sous-tendant les parcours professionnels des cadres et professionnels. Elle examine, dans une série d'articles publiés dans Organization Science and Academy of Management Review, comment le sexe, l'identité professionnelle et les réseaux sociaux influent sur la mobilité de l'emploi. Elle a remporté plusieurs prix du meilleur article de l'Académie de management et de diverses conférences de Strategic Management Society (elle a également été finaliste à plusieurs reprises).

À HEC Paris, elle est chargée du cours de management dans les entreprises mondiales (niveau avancé) au sein du programme MBA et du cours sur les grandes entreprises dans le cadre du programme Grande École.

Avant de rejoindre HEC, elle était professeur assistant à la faculté de management Desautels de l'Université McGill et professeur assistant invité à l'école Wharton de l'Université de Pennsylvanie.
