TEC on Campus

The Executive Committee on Campus (TEC) is a mentorship and business-leadership program designed to help students define their long-term personal and professional goals.

Finding Work-Life Balance

The executive committe on campus
Alumni of the TEC program come to campus annually to meet the new students enrolled in the TEC program

The Executive Committee (TEC) on Campus is the student version of Vistage, a peer-advisory group that has earned a worldwide reputation for the quality of its business-leadership philosophy.

TEC on Campus provides students a sounding board of trusted peers who offer them diverse perspectives to help them make better decisions in their personal and professional lives. That experience is deepened by one-to-one sessions with mentors and small-group discussions with business leaders.

The program is open to a limited number of MBAs in September (three groups of 12 students) and in January (two groups of 12 students), who come together in a confidential environment to reflect on their personal and professional lives, their paths leading to the HEC Paris MBA, and their personal and professional growth objectives for the future.

The program’s main goals are to help students achieve balance in their professional and personal lives, to define their personal values, and ultimately to become the best people and the business leaders that they can be.

The TEC program consists of three different activities:

  • One-on-one mentorship sessions with TEC Program Co-Chairs Bernard Bismuth and Thierry Voiriot to develop a life plan that focuses on long-term goals

  • Confidential group discussions with fellow TEC participants to allow for inclusive reflection and expression, and acting as a reliable, judgment-free network for advice

  • Guest speaker meetings with business leaders who share professional advice and who open up about the personal challenges they have faced

TEC is for MBA students who are willing to actively reflect upon their own successes and failures, who are not afraid to question themselves, and who are ready to talk others in the TEC community in order to grow personally and professionally.

During TEC sessions, you can talk about absolutely anything - no one in the group would ever think of judging you. The executives who are brought in as guest speakers are the same. They are open to answering any question, and are willing to tackle any issue.Louis-Philippe Doumier,MBA '18
