The Management and Human Resources specialization offers training in Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, and Organization Theory. MHR-specialized PhD students address a variety of questions at the frontier of academic research on the management of organizations and careers, combining rigor and relevance.

Cutting-hedge research on management and organizations

Research professors of the department regularly publish in top-tier academic journals. Recent publications by department members appear in journals sur as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, American Journal of Sociology and American Sociological Review.

Main field courses (non exhaustive)

  • Decision Making Beyond Rational Choice
  • Diversity Management in Organizations
  • Organizational Behavior
  • Team Research in OB/RH
  • The Social Evaluation of Organizations
  • See global course examples here

Students may join courses from other specializations or partner universities to broaden their knowledge.

Research Seminars

Most academic departments organize research seminars on a regular basis as well as many other academic events. Students are encouraged to join these seminars already from the first year of studies. They give students a good idea of what they are expected to produce. They are also a good way to socialize with the professors of the departments and the other PhD students. Most of these research seminars are available to all PhD students from all specializations.
