HEC's EMBAs are #1 and #3 in FT 2019 Rankings

HEC’s two Executive MBA programs ranked first and third in the 2019 Financial Times EMBA rankings of the world’s top courses. The school’s homegrown program, taught in France and Qatar, leapt up five places from the 2018 classification. The TRIUM Global EMBA, meanwhile, maintains its consistency in staying in the world’s very top positions since its entry in the ranking.

HEC Paris - Executive MBA - Financial Times Ranking

In the 19 years that the FT has ranked the world’s top 100 EMBA programs, it has rarely seen such a rise to the top of its standings. Already, HEC’s International Executive MBA was last year’s strongest new entrant at sixth. Now, it has shot to the top of the prestigious annual table. For Poets & Quants, the program “benefitted from the career progress (where it ranked first) as well as the amount of work experience (rising to fifth this year from 39th in 2018) of the surveyed graduates.”

“This ranking is a recognition of the strength of our EMBA programs,” said Andrea Masini, HEC’s Associate Dean of MBA Programs, “as well as our talented students, world-class faculty, innovative curriculum and outstanding alumni community.” As well as top spot for HEC’s EMBA solo program, the TRIUM EMBA - bringing together NYU Stern, LSE and HEC Paris - maintained its top three standing, leading the table in terms of “international course experience”, and "work experience" of its participants. TRIUM was launched in 2001, the same year the FT began its EMBA rankings, and has maintained strong positions at the very top of the table since its first participation in 2004. Both programs feature a blended learning model designed to answer the business needs of top-level executives who are devoted to entrepreneurship at a global level.

“This achievement is a testament to your hard work, commitment and perpetual dissatisfaction with the status quo,” wrote Dean Peter Todd in a congratulatory message to his staff shortly after the announcement. “Combine this with the recent number 3 ranking globally for the full time MBA in The Economist as well as the number 2 ranking in Forbes among international two-year MBA programs and you all have a lot to be proud of.”

One HEC alumnus who set up a company after graduating told the FT: “The strong HEC entrepreneurship culture gave me the self-confidence and courage to move ahead.”
