AMA 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award Goes to HEC Marketing Professor

Dominique Rouziès, Ph.D., Professor of Marketing at HEC Paris, has won the 2023 American Marketing Association (AMA) Sales Special Interest Group (SIG) Lifetime Achievement Award for her work in the sales and sales management area.

 

Professor Dominique Rouziès has won the Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contributions to the sales discipline. This is the second time she has been rewarded by the American Marketing Association Sales SIG, having previously won (with her co-authors) the Excellence in Research Award for her article on pay levels and structures in sales organizations published in the Journal of Marketing. 

The AMA Sales SIG supports its members by offering programs that enhance the study, teaching, and application of selling and sales management in a collaborative and inclusive environment. The SIG also promotes core values such as knowledge generation, innovative research and teaching approaches, academic-practitioner integration, quality improvement, faculty development, close collaboration with companies, and the attraction of new Ph.D. candidates interested in sales. 

A senior member at AMA, Lisa Beeler, congratulated Professor Rouziès for her lifelong achievements and thanked her for being a role model for women in the field. The award ceremony will take place at the AMA Sales SIG reception during the 2023 AMA Summer Academic Conference in San Francisco. 

Dominique Rouziès is also the Academic Dean at BMI Executive Institute and she has held various leadership roles at HEC Paris, including serving as Academic Director of the Executive Masters in Sales and Marketing and the Master of Science in Marketing. She was also EDF Chairholder and Co-Principal Investigator in the Laboratoire d’Excellence – ECODEC, and a Visiting Professor at McGill University. Her research, teaching and consultancy interests primarily focus on improving sales organization performance. Her work has been featured in various publications, including Harvard Business Review, Harvard Business Manager, Les Echos, and The Financial Times. She is also a regular contributor to the sales blog of Harvard Business Review France
