This certificate complements the ICCF @ HEC Paris program, as well as the other training programs in finance offered by HEC Paris Executive Education, and gives participants the opportunity to explore in greater detail the different challenges that all company financiers face. CThis program offers you the opportunity to delve deeper into a series of issues that corporate finance professionals face. Through an innovative online pedagogy that emphasizes real-world scenarios, this program places discussions of actual cases at the core of learning. It is based on a new and dynamic pedagogical format, inspired by MOOCs: a series of virtual classes and collaborative case studies to help you grasp the new challenges in finance, led by Pascal Quiry.

This in-depth program is primarily intended for certified participants of the participants of the ICCF @ HEC Paris and former participants of the Executive Certificate "Finance" and the Executive Master "Financial Management".

Objectives

 

Prepare, in a concrete and in-depth manner, to address various issues and decisions that a corporate finance professional may encounter.


Acquire the tools and reasoning necessary to handle the situations presented.


Exercise critical thinking by considering all their dimensions.

Financial indicators and measuring value creation 

Impact of financial macroeconomics on company decisions 

Methodology for analyzing economic sectors and creating new financial products 

Negotiation techniques for selling subsidiaries 

Deciding whether or not to be listed on the stock exchange 

Deciding whether to buy or to rent business premises? 

Borrowing at fixed and variable rates

Where should you place your cash reserves in times of zero or negative interest rates? 

How can a company’s structure affect its value? 

Financing start-ups and the key errors to avoid 

Determining the right dividend policy 

Analysis of the “financial operation of the year” 

Interpreting annual reports before investing or lending


PREREQUISITES

If this Certificate program does not strictly require 'prerequisites,' the ACCF@HEC Paris is reserved for individuals who meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Certified in ICCF@HEC Paris, ICCF@Columbia Business School, or ICCF@IE Business School.
  • Have participated in a training program offered by HEC Paris such as Cesa Finance or the Executive Master in Financial Management.
  • Demonstrate 5 years of professional experience in corporate finance.

Note: Participants must have access to the book 'Vernimmen, Corporate Finance,' to which they will be regularly referred (free access to the electronic version provided at the start of the training). However, it is still an advanced-level corporate finance training. To fully benefit from it, participants should have acquired basic accounting and financial knowledge during their academic or professional journey (as taught, for example, in ICCF@HEC Paris).

Final Exam

On site, in a Pearson Vue center in France or abroad.

LEARNING AND EVALUATION METHODS

An initial overall assessment in the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire (QCM) is conducted before the training to assess the participants' expectations and levels.

The pedagogy of this training is based on a wide variety of learning situations: practical cases, discussions, challenges, case studies, exercises, group work.

Each skill is assessed through formative evaluations (practical cases, exercises) throughout the training.

A summative evaluation in the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire (QCM) is organized at the end of the course to measure the learning outcomes of the training.

CAPITALIZATION

This program is not eligible for capitalization with other programs in the HEC Paris catalog.
