Alexandre Madelaine was a Ph.D. candidate in the Accounting and Management Control Department, and teacher of financial accounting in the Grande Ecole and MBA programs of HEC Paris until 2023. He is currently Assistant Professor of Accounting at Erasmus University (RSM).

His research uses archival data to examine the impact of short sellers and fund managers on financial markets.
