Biography

Jean-Paul Larçon holds an M.Sc. degree from HEC and a Ph.D. in Management from Paris Dauphine University. He also studied Business Adminsitration at Harvard Business School. He was named an Esade Alumni of Honor in 2006. He is a Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite. He is currently Senior Associate Dean for International Development at HEC Paris.

Jean-Paul Larçon was the Dean of HEC Paris from 1982 to 1989 and a founder of the Community of European Management School - todays CEMS Global Alliance.
From 1989 to 2009, he launched different initiatives in management education in Central Europe (the Baltic States & Poland), Middle East, North Africa, Federation of Russia, Central Asia (Kazakstan), and China. He was a visiting professor at CEIBS (China), Esade (Spain), the GSOM of St Petersburg State University (Russia), NHH Bergen (Norway), Tsinghua SEM (China), and WUT School of Business (Poland).
Jean-Paul Larçon is a Board member of Baltic Management Institute and the Chairman of the Council of Warsaw University of Technology Business School. Senior Associate Dean for International Development, HEC Paris
He was awarded the Regalia of Doctor Honoris by Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania).

His current research and teaching interests are around international strategy and emerging markets multinationals.
