Biography

Sam Aflaki is a professor and department chair of Information Systems and Operations Management, holding the CMA CGM Chair on "Sustainability and Supply Chain Analytics." As the academic director of the Operations module within HEC's Executive MBA program, Sam strives to share his knowledge and inspire future leaders. He earned his Ph.D. in Management from INSEAD and has been researching sustainable decision making, operations management, and energy policies.

Sam's work has been featured in various management and economics journals, and he has been grateful for the recognition received in several INFORMS competitions. Contributing as the French co-director of the Industrial Excellence Award, Sam is honored to be part of an esteemed competition for operational management in both manufacturing and service sectors worldwide.

Teaching is a passion for Sam, and he offers sustainable operations management courses across different degree programs. He has also had the privilege of guest lecturing at numerous respected management institutions around the globe.
