Biography
François Baroin is an Adjunct Professor at HEC Paris where he teaches Macroeconomics, Geopolitics and Crisis Management.
François Baroin began his career as a journalist before becoming a Lawyer at the Paris Bar, and specializing in criminal law and the rights of victims. He acts as a Lawyer of Counsel with the Szpiner Toby Ayela Semerdjian law firm.
As a French politician, he held prominent positions such as Member of Parliament (1993), Secretary of State for the French Prime Minister (1995), French Minister for Overseas Territories (2005), French Minister of the Interior and Spatial Planning (2007), Government Spokesman (2010), Minister for the Budget (2010), Vice-President of the National Assembly, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industry (2011).
François Baroin has been Mayor of Troyes since 1995, Senator of Aube and President of the Association of French Mayors since 2014.
François Baroin holds a Master’s degree in Information and Communication (DESS des Techniques de l’Information et de la Communication, Paris II) and received a Master in Business from ISG (Institut Supérieur de Gestion, Paris). He is the author of 3 books: “Un chemin français” (Ed Lattes, 2017), “Journal de crise (Ed Lattes, 2012), “Chronique d’une difference” (1998)
