 Profile picture

Biography

Angèle Marinelli is a PhD candidate in Strategy at HEC Paris. Her research examines how firms engage with social and political issues, and how stakeholders interpret and evaluate these actions. She focuses in particular on corporate sociopolitical activism, developing a more nuanced understanding of when such engagement generates support versus backlash.

Her work draws on theories of organizational identity, authenticity, and stakeholder evaluation, and explores how these dynamics vary across organizational contexts, including SMEs and family firms, as well as across national environments in multinational settings. Methodologically, she combines experimental methods with qualitative and inductive research.

Her work is supported by several grants, including from the Dieter Schwarz Center for Family Business and the HEC Foundation. In parallel to her research, she is actively involved in teaching and academic service and is also an entrepreneur.
