Succeed to Give Back: A Student’s Commitment to Inclusion

Ouatara Sindou, an M1 student at HEC Paris originally from Côte d’Ivoire, shares his experience in the Engagement track, including his immersion with the RATP social outreach teams in Paris metro stations. He reflects on success, dignity, and the responsibility of future leaders.

As part of the Engagement track, led by the Sustainability & Organizations Institute (S&O Institute) at HEC Paris, Ouatara Sindou took part in an immersion alongside the RATP social outreach teams. This initiative exposes students to today’s pressing social challenges. During these outreach rounds, he discovered the realities of homelessness and the importance of rebuilding trust through listening and sustained presence. For him, success only has meaning if it leads to action for greater inclusion and solidarity.
