Friendships That Go Beyond Graduation!
Graduating from HEC Paris EMBA isn’t the end. It is the start of a lifelong journey of learning, connection, and collaboration. Two alumni cohorts show how bonds forged during the program continue to grow stronger long after the classroom experience ends.
Strategic Meetup: Slopes and Presentations
The EMBA 2022 cohort continues to strengthen their bonds and share knowledge even after leaving the campus. They reunite for a winter trip each year, this time hitting the slopes in Morzine-Avoriaz. But these gatherings go beyond fun and bonding; they serve as opportunities to exchange ideas, share best practices, and keep learning from one another.
“We regularly organize events together, in fact, this June, we went back to HEC Alumni House in Paris for a two-day, content-driven update session,” shares Koen Collier. The cohort took turns to showcase their projects, lessons and strategies to learn from each other.
“We’ve come to realize that the EMBA isn’t just about the courses but also about maintaining meaningful connections and continuing to share knowledge,” he adds. "The more we share, the more impact we can create together."
Forever Module 6
Another EMBA group #Disruptors took a creative approach to keep their learning journey alive. Since the program consisted of five main modules, they decided to create what they call the Forever Module 6, a yearly reunion with a member of the HEC academic team joining their discussions. Locations are pitched and voted on by the group, and this year, Lisbon won! Alumna Joana Domingues led a team of six assisting in the organization. The cohort also connected with Nova School of Business Executive Education alumni, who warmly welcomed them on campus.
“When I decided to do my HEC Paris Executive MBA, I did not expect that the journey would continue post-graduation,” shares Didier Gabriel. “Our cohort was very diverse, and we have truly built great friendships.”
Whether skiing in the Alps or debating strategy in Lisbon, these cohorts prove that the HEC Paris EMBA journey goes far beyond graduation. It is about lifelong learning, global connections, and friendships that last a lifetime.
