Luxury Hospitality Management - HEC X EHL

Student Edgar Fauvey

This program combined everything I was looking for: academic excellence, experiential learning, and the prestige of two world-leading institutions.

After completing an academic exchange in Finland as part of my European Bachelor in Event Management with a focus on Hospitality, I came back with a stronger belief in the value of global perspectives and intercultural exchange. This experience also gave me the confidence to see ambition as a positive force.

After being in contact with EHL regarding further training opportunities, this Summer School was presented to me and immediately felt like the perfect next step in my journey. It combined everything I was looking for: academic excellence, experiential learning, and the prestige of two world-leading institutions. As hospitality takes an increasingly central place within the luxury industry, this program offered valuable insights into the current landscape and the evolution of the sector. It also allowed me to best prepare for my upcoming Master’s in International Hospitality Management.

Working in diverse project groups was both challenging and rewarding. We all came from different university majors, from culinary arts to haute couture and business management, which became the true strength of our team. Everyone brought unique ideas inspired by their own country and culture, and combining all these perspectives into a single project was incredibly enriching. I loved that moment of creativity and collaboration, where our differences became a shared vision. What impressed me most was the kindness and respect that defined the atmosphere, professors genuinely listened, encouraged us, and valued every contribution, creating a real sense of trust and support.

I leave this experience with new perspectives, greater confidence, and lasting friendships, one of which even led to an invitation to celebrate Thanksgiving in the US. Above all, this journey reinforced my vision of hospitality: to be deeply human, attentive, and genuinely caring toward those around us.
