Solidarity - Covid 19
Solidarity - Covid 19
The crisis is already having an impact on our students and their families. That is why the HEC Foundation launched a solidarity fund. Coming together to help students in difficult situations.
Why did we create this solidarity fund?
The HEC Foundation’s core mission is to enable HEC Paris to invest in high-impact projects. Over the last 10 years, our priority has also been to guarantee that the School does not present a financial barrier to all talented students, irrespective of their social background or geographical origin.
With this in mind, the HEC Foundation has earmarked a budget to set up a solidarity fund. The aim is to provide financial aid to students who have been hit hard by the crisis. A lot of them are facing unforeseen expenditure or a loss of income due to the cancelation of their internship.
Some have already spontaneously talked about their need for one-off financial support. Committee meetings are helding regularly to complete requests received. To date, around one hundred students have awarded exceptional grants.
Well aware that requests for aid from our students will rise in the coming weeks, and very likely at the start of the next academic year, we are appealing to the mobilisation and solidarity of our community to continue to support these students in difficulty, but also to guarantee continuity in the aid we provide each year to students on all the HEC Paris programs ( Master's program, MBA program, PHD Program).
« The health crisis turned my life as a student upside-down. Within 24 hours, I found myself isolated. I had to adapt my learning, and the start of my internship was postponed. The support I have received from the HEC Foundation means that I don’t have to worry financially and can continue my studies more calmly. I would like to thank the Foundation’s patrons from the bottom of my heart. They have given me another chance to prepare my future. They make me proud to belong to the HEC community. »
