Hublo: The digital remedy for healthcare HR

Faced with a global shortage of caregivers and time-consuming administrative tasks, Hublo provides technology to free up care time for professionals.

Hublo: The digital remedy for healthcare HR

Founded in early 2017 by Antoine Loron (H.12), his classmate Adrien Beata (H.12), and Chris Rydahl (X.11), Hublo is a digital platform designed to transform human resources management in healthcare facilities. The solution automates and simplifies essential tasks such as managing replacements and recruitment for hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes. By replacing time-consuming manual processes, like phone calls and spreadsheets, with an efficient digital tool, Hublo aims to free up caretime, allowing professionals to refocus on their core mission: patient care.

The problem

The healthcare sector is navigating a deep crisis marked by severe human and organizational tensions. The World Health Organization predicts a shortage of 11 million professionals by 2030, and in France, nearly 40% of nurses and nursing assistants are considering leaving the profession. This shortage creates a vicious cycle: the fewer caregivers there are, the higher the workload for those who remain, leading to burnout.

On the ground, health executives and facility directors often find themselves helpless, spending hours on the phone or WhatsApp to manage absences and find replacements. Existing tools are often archaic and ill-suited to current challenges, hindering professionals' ability to provide optimal medical care.

The solution

Hublo is a digital platform designed to radically transform human resources management in healthcare facilities, whether they are hospitals, clinics, or nursing homes. The tool automates and simplifies the management of replacements and recruitment, replacing manual processes with a fluid and efficient solution.

The startup’s ambition is to make healthcare facilities fulfilling places to work by removing administrative irritants. Beyond recruitments and replacements, Hublo is developing a complete solution that integrates AI-assisted scheduling, and soon, onboarding, training and internal communications.

We want to build a digital HR solution that will radically transform the way professionals are taken care of, so they can take better care of patients.

Key figures

  • 6,000 client institutions
  • 1.2 million registered users
  • 500,000 replacement shifts carried out every month
  • €30 million in revenue
  • 180 employees based in France

How they did it

The idea for Hublo was born from direct confrontation with the field. Antoine Loron (H.12) and his associate Adrien (H.12), a classmate, interviewed hundreds of directors who quickly highlighted the urgent tension surrounding paramedical jobs. After four years of consulting at Roland Berger and coding training (Le Wagon), Antoine coded the first version of the platform himself in early 2017.

A major turning point occurred when the first three facilities directors met not only validated the need but proactively expressed their interest to invest in the company. Subsequently, the Covid-19 crisis acted as a major accelerator: via the “Renfort Covid” operation, Hublo enabled the mobilization of 60,000 health reservist professionals in record time, demonstrating the power of its technology in the face of sanitary challenges.

That was an exceptionally unifying moment for the company, all the more so as it had a profound impact on healthcare facilities, caregivers, and patients during this time of crisis.”

Today, we still observe the impact of our solution through our client’s feedback: ‘I managed to get through the holidays thanks to you’, ‘if you take the solution away from me, I quit.’
Antoine Loron, co-founder and CEO of Hublo

What’s next?

Hublo has established itself as the reference healthcare HR solution in France, supported by the entry of BPI and Five Arrows into its capital in July 2025, alongside previous investor Revaia. To achieve its vision faster, Hublo is betting on a dynamic external growth strategy, having already acquired four companies to enrich its service offering. The goal is to build a comprehensive HR platform, covering everything from recruitment to AI-assisted planning, to help facilities better recruit, manage, and retain their staff.
