  • Mastering all the tools to define and implement the strategy of one's Business Unit 
  • Conducting relevant financial diagnostics on a company 
  • Understanding and implementing the main investment selection criteria. 
  • Analyzing and forming a judgment on a business plan 
  • Understanding, implementing, and comparing different valuation methods 
  • Knowing the difference between market value and the price of an asset 
  • Understanding the financing mechanisms of a company and the importance of a financial policy 
  • Conducting capital increase operations, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, or LBOs 
  • Measuring financial performance effectively by applying management control tools and methods. 
  • Mapping and managing the risks to which the company is exposed 
  • Discovering the frameworks and regulations of sustainable finance 
  • Integrating the non-financial dimension and measuring ESG impacts to steer overall performance

Global Executive Master in Management

This Executive Master, with a major in Finance, is part of the GEMM – Global Executive Master in Management program offered by HEC Paris Executive Education. Participants from the different majors will have the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and attend seminars together, particularly during the executive certificate that they will choose as part of the common core.

Teaching Methods and Assessment Modalities

Academic presentations, conferences and debates, teamwork in sub-groups work, case studies, personalized support, plenary sessions, and a focus on the real-life professional situations experienced by the participants in their companies. The participants carry out a strategic and financial diagnosis of a company (with the support of a tutor), an action plan on the performance management system of their activity (with the support of a mentor) and a professional thesis (tutored by an HEC Paris professor).

Prerequisites and Admission Criteria

-5 to 10 years of professional experience in the field of finance.
-A minimum level of knowledge in accounting, particularly in the different accounting statements of the company, is required for the GEMM Finance program

    However, no bridge is provided toward another Master’s degree.
