Biography

Sam Aflaki is a professor of information systems and operations management and the chair of that department. He also serves as the academic director of the operations module in the HEC EMBA program. Sam holds a Ph.D. in management from INSEAD and his current research focuses on sustainable decision making, operations management, and (energy) policies. Sam's research has been published in leading management and economics journals as well as being recognized in a number of INFORMS' prestigious competitions. Sam currently serves as the French co-director of the industrial excellence award, one of the most prestigious operational management competitions for manufacturing and service organizations worldwide. Sam teaches operations management courses in various degree programs and has served as a guest lecturer in a number of leading management institutions around the world.
