S&O–Leadership Center lunch seminar

A Lunch Seminar organized by the Leadership Center and the Sustainability & Organizations Centre will take place on Tuesday October 13, 2026 at 12:00 pm in Room T202, HEC Paris Campus.

The Leadership Center and the Sustainability & Organizations Center support rigorous, interdisciplinary research that bridges academic insights and practical knowledge. Together, we aim to promote research and pedagogical innovations that inform and inspire more robust, sustainable, and inclusive development models.

Isabelle Ferreras, Research Director at FNRS, Professor at UCLouvain, Senior Research Associate at Harvard Law School (CLJE), will present her work on economic democracy, labor relations, and corporate governance. She will address how employee representation and stakeholder-driven governance can renew debates on the role of work and human dignity within modern firms, bridging rigorous academic reflection with concrete organizational transformation.

Gautier Geiben, General Secretary at Biocoop, will share insights from the heart of a large-scale cooperative model. He will discuss the practical trade-offs and decision-making processes involved in balancing mission, core values, and economic realities, offering a hands-on perspective on how organizations navigate stakeholder engagement while aligning financial performance with contribution to the common good.

Together, the speakers will offer complementary perspectives from practice and research on the measurement and governance of impact.
