Most topics will be reinforced by applying the theory gained to relevant business cases.
The Python Plus!
In preparation for the program, participants with no former experience of Python will be invited to complete an 8-hour online module. This requirement can be waived by participants with demonstrated experience in Python. Details will be sent at the end of May.
Upon successful completion of the summer program, participants will be able to:
- Grasp key concepts in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for business.
- Gain familiarity with basic Python coding for simple Machine Learning algorithms (Note: This program is not a coding course on Data Science).
- Collaborate effectively with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers on Data and AI transformation projects.
- Continue expanding their knowledge independently after the course with six months of access to the Datacamp online learning platform and 400+ exercises on Data Science and AI.
All core concepts will be explained during the class, and no prior knowledge is required for attendance.
To support learning, participants will have free access to the Datacamp platform (available via web and mobile app) to complete 2 online courses on Python programming basics:
"Introduction to Python": 4 hours
"Intermediate Python": 4 hours
Waivers: Participants with prior Python knowledge may request a waiver. If granted, they must select alternative courses instead.
All participants are expected to be in class, come with questions and participate in group discussions.
Grading will be determined according to the following factors:
Presence & participation
Group project and final presentation
Participants who successfully complete the program will earn 5 ECTS credits. Full attendance is required to obtain the Program Certificate.
All students who are seeking credit are encouraged to consult their home academic institution to validate credit transfer.
