Youth Programs 15 - 18 Yrs

Youth Programs
For details on when applications open for each program please consult the specific program page.
Candidates are invited to pre-register their interest for upcoming editions. They will then be alerted when the application portal opens.
Applicants will be invited to submit their application for consideration at their earliest convenience, knowing that places will be allocated on a rolling basis.
Applicants will be informed of decisions within 3 weeks of submitting their application and families will then have 14 days to confirm their place and pay their tuition fees.
Participants include motivated high school-level students from 15 to 18 years old (at program start) of all nationalities who are proficient in the language of tuition for each program. Proof of proficiency will be requested as part of the application process. In exceptional cases, the Admissions Office may grant a telephone interview to confirm the level of English/French.
Most of our Youth Programs are held during the summer holidays in July. However, some programs may be held at other moments of the academic year. Please consult the specific program page for more details of program dates and venues.
The programs taught in English indicate the proficiency required to be considered eligible on the program page.
The following elements are acceptable proof of the English language proficiency:
- Evidence (e.g., transcript/school report) of schooling completed in English (eg. IB, BFI or other) or
- English language proficiency test score report (such as TOEFL or TOEIC or IELTS or Cambridge or Duolingo) or
- Letter of Recommendation from the applicant's English teacher, indicating the CEFR level overall of the applicant, and specifically in Speaking and Listening.
In certain cases, students may be invited for a phone interview with an admissions counselor to verify English language proficiency.

All applications should be prepared by the student with the agreement of the parent/ legal guardian.
Upon admission, a few further documents will be required before the program begins.
Yes, students will be required to obtain insurance for the duration of their stay at HEC Paris. Insurance will need to include the following elements:
- personal liability (often covered by the household insurance for French families)
- medical coverage
- repatriation coverage for students coming from outside France
The HEC Paris Youth Program admission team assesses candidates for our Youth Programs independently and as such, no preferential advantage for any other program at HEC is afforded. Nonetheless, attending a Youth Program will allow you to gain an insight and familiarity with the HEC Paris campus.
We recommend that students wear smart-casual clothing suitable for interaction with professionals. They should refrain from wearing clothes with political messages.
For the Youth Leadership Initiative participants will need adapted shoes as there will be outdoor activities. We encourage students to wear a business casual outfit for the final day.
Payment of a €30 non-refundable application fee occurs by credit card when submitting online application.
There are no scholarships available for our Youth Programs.
Full payment is required within fourteen days after receiving positive admissions results in order to secure your place in the program.
Payment generally occurs online by credit card. Bank transfers can also be accepted.
A participant has a retraction period of fourteen (14) days from the day of confirmation to withdraw from the program. In such a case, HEC Paris will reimburse all refundable sums paid to HEC Paris in the course of the agreement, unless the withdrawal request is received on or after the start of the Program.
Any request to withdraw a participant’s registration must be sent by email to Ms. Elyse Michaels-Berger at youthprograms@hec.fr, with the admissions team on copy (admissionsummerschool@hec.fr), including bank details for reimbursement, or by regular mail to the following address:

Students may consider taking additional insurance to cover their potential cancellation, including for medical reasons, after the above cited withdrawal period.
The Youth Programs are generally held on the HEC Paris campus in Jouy-en-Josas, 25 km from Paris. It is accessible both from major airports (Orly and Roissy) and from the center of Paris or Versailles. Please see directions here.
On arrival at the main campus entrance, 1 rue de la Libération, you will first signal your arrival at the front desk, giving your name and program you are attending. From there, the Welcome Desk for our Youth Programs will be clearly signposted.
Some editions maybe held elsewhere. Candidates should consult the program page for more precise details.

100% participation (other than justified absences) is mandatory to obtain a Certificate of Attendance.
No, all class materials will be provided.
There are no exams and no grades awarded for our Youth Programs. However, most of the programs involve a group project which is presented to the rest of the class at the end of the program.
Our Youth Programs are non-credit awarding programs. Each student will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the program.
Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop computer for research and presentation purposes. Free WIFI is available on campus.

All students are provided a full lunch in our student canteen as part of the program fees.
HEC Paris has also has vending machines where you can find a selection of food and drinks throughout campus. There are also water fountains to refill drink bottles near every classroom.
There is a cash distributor machine on campus at the welcome desk behind the HEC gift shop. Other than for purchases at the Gift Shop, students should not require additional money since the program includes lunch.
No pocket money is required. However, students might wish to purchase items from the HEC Gift Shop.
All our Youth Programs are non-residential. Participants are responsible for organizing their own transport to and from the campus each day and their accommodation if needed.

All international students are expected to verify requirements with their local French consulate and plan accordingly.
All students who confirm their place and make full payment of their tuition fees will be sent a digital Certificate of Enrolment which can be used for visa application purposes.
