HEC Paris Wins A.T Kearney Global Prize Strategy Case Competition

For the first time since its inception 20 years ago, a post-graduate candidate team from HEC Paris has won the A.T. Kearney Global Prize Strategy Case Competition.

A team consisting of four full- and part-time MBA students from HEC Paris - Nadège Zambon, Elia Fares, Mathieu Mondon and Alexandre Legeay - were the happy victors of the three-stage competition, which took place on November 18 at A.T. Kearney's Parisian office.
This multi-phase event draws exceptional MBA students from select global business schools to participate in a simulated client challenge. Participant teams were asked to develop the most innovative, actionable, and strategic solutions aimed at providing value in a real-world consulting engagement.

During the finale, participants were provided with a case based upon an actual A.T. Kearney client engagement and then worked as members of consulting teams to tackle the case. Throughout the competition, participants were given the opportunity to interact with consultants who would provide constructive feedback and insights while students gained valuable experience.
After winning the European Final in Paris against teams from Insead (Fontainebleau & Singapore), LBS and Bocconi, the HEC Paris “Team Istisharat Key” also emerged victorious in the Global Final against Rotman School of Business (University of Toronto).

This achievement was the result of the huge commitment by the team and its innovative approach: “We spent more than 120 hours preparing the written presentation," says Mathieu Mondan. Mathieu believes teamwork was the key to his team’s success: "It was not four individuals, and I think that made a huge difference.”
Every year, hundreds of teams vie for this coveted prize in a strategy case competition last won by the London Business School.
