Why the Hec Paris EMBA

Singapore-based Ravi Bhushan Singh from Schneider Electric shared that his organization’s mission strongly aligned with the themes he saw emerging from HEC Paris:

“My company is very purposeful and serious about sustainability in the energy sector, and I saw those values reflected in the course outline, which resonated with me. I also had a few HEC alumni in my company who recommended the program.”

For Yada Masaki, a Czech-based Senior Finance Specialist at SAP, the choice of HEC Paris was a strategic step to accelerate his pivot from expert to leader.

“With the rise of Agentic AI, I believe data-driven and self-effacing leadership development is ever more important, something I feel is strongly embedded in the HEC curriculum.”

A conversation with an EMBA alumnus interviewer during admission helped him confirm his decision, and interestingly, so did the algorithms:
“Both ChatGPT and Gemini recommended HEC Paris when I compared my different school options against my career goals,” he laughs.

Guillaume Wettstein, the Head of Biology and Pharmacology at Inventiva Pharma, saw the EMBA as an opportunity to expand beyond the research world where he had built his career. With a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology and experience leading a department in a research organization, he felt ready for a more strategic lens.

“I realized I needed a better understanding of how financial decisions are made. Gaining the right vocabulary and perspective would help me bridge the gap between scientists and finance professionals.”

The Right Timing and a Global Mindset

Sirine Goisset, COO at InstanSanté a non-profit healthcare group, oversees operations and strategic performance across five centers spanning medical, dental, radiology, and preventive care. Although she already holds degrees in medical biology and another in managing healthcare establishments, she felt there was more to learn in leadership, finance, and strategy.

“I want to move into a more senior role,” she explained. “There may still be some gaps in the way I manage people, so I wanted to consolidate my leadership skills and to also feel more comfortable with finance and marketing sides.”

For her, the EMBA offers a pathway to stronger managerial capability and a wider international perspective which are critical skills in the evolving healthcare landscape.

For Mohammed Salhi Cherradi, CFO at Antofénol, the EMBA is both a a way to accelerate his career and the natural next step after a decade of financial leadership across Europe and Africa. After roles in a major industrial group and a biotech scale-up, he felt ready to broaden his reach and international profile.

“It’s the right time for me to do it. I wanted a good return of investment, and at 34 years old, with over 10 years of experience, I know I’ll be able to make the most out of it.”

He is also thinking long-term and hopes to one day start his own business which can be a bridge between Europe, Africa and the world. The global reach of HEC Paris sealed his decision:
“With HEC, I can go from Paris to the world.”

Welcome, Class of 2027. Your journey has just begun!
