Biography
I view firms as embedded within a dense web of sociopolitical institutions. These institutions—including regulatory agencies, courts, news media, social movements, and ranking organizations—play a critical role in shaping both firm behavior and the consequences of that behavior. Within this theoretical framework, my research investigates how social status and political ideology influence firms’ interactions with these institutions, leading to outcomes such as scandal, regulatory enforcement, and changes in legal doctrine.
I teach the Strategic Management core course in the Grande École Master’s program, as well as the Non-Market Strategy course in the PhD program. I also serve as the instructor for the CARS simulation game in the Master’s and MBA programs.
