A close up of the Eiffel Scholarship

The ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development has been awarding merit-based scholarships to the best international students deciding to pursue further education in France, since 1999.

The amount granted by the scholarship includes a monthly allowance of around €1200. In addition, the following expenses are covered directly:

  • One international return journey
  • Social security cover
  • Cultural activities

Grant holders may also benefit from an additional housing allowance.

The recipients of this excellence scholarship mainly come from BRIC and emerging countries. Successful candidates are represented in all of HEC Paris’ programs: Master in Management Grande Ecole, MSc International Finance, MSc Marketing, MSc Sustainability and Social Innovation, etc…

Please find below the testimonials from 3 proud recipients of this excellence grant:

It is hard to describe what I felt when I finally saw my name on the list of the recipients. It meant that all the extra work I had to do actually paid off, and from that point onwards my whole master’s experience was going to be much more enjoyable, not to mention that I could not wait to put it on my professional CV.
Contrary to what most people might think, the Eiffel scholarship is not just about the monthly allowance. Once you become a grant holder, life becomes much easier in a lot of different aspects. The campus France staff really care about you and do everything in their power to ensure that you make the most of your stay in France.
Once I arrived in France, I was given a very warm welcome by a campus France staff member who explained how to get the first installment of my grant in cash right away at the airport. Afterwards, he drove me to my accommodation which really helped to alleviate the stress many people experience when relocating to another country.

Now that I have settled down and established my daily routine, I feel completely relaxed and carefree from a financial perspective. The money I receive every month is more than enough to cover the rental payments for my room on campus, as well as transportation and food. Thanks to the Eiffel scholarship, it is far easier for me to concentrate on my studies and job search, instead of worrying about making ends meet.

For anyone who wants to become an Eiffel scholarship recipient, the most important thing is to apply for the master’s program by the first deadline. The scholarship is only available to the first wave of admitted students. That is why, once accepted, you need to confirm your enrolment as soon as possible, and express your interest in applying for the Eiffel scholarship.

I felt honored when I received this prestigious scholarship offered to master students by the French government. I also felt grateful for the efforts the French government is making to enable International talent mobility and exchange.

It relieves a great part of the financial burden related to my master program, thus enabling me to concentrate better on my studies and personal development. The cultural activities organized by Campus France for Eiffel Scholarship holders are also really enriching and help me to meet more brilliant peers.

The scholarship awards excellence in various areas. It is not only a plus on your CV but offers substantial financial and lifestyle benefits for your studies in France. Do take the time to fill out the forms and answer the questions: it can be rewarding!

I am absolutely delighted and grateful to have been a recipient of the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship 2015. I believe the scholarship comes as a tremendous encouragement to international students such as myself by facilitating our pursuit of higher education at top ranked French schools such as HEC Paris.

The scholarship has been incredibly useful in providing me with the financial support I require to undertake my master’s degree. I am also very appreciative of the fact that the scholarship extends support beyond financial provision, but also gives students access to the broader Campus France community.

For potential students wishing to apply to the scholarship program, you should really emphasize the reasons you are choosing to study in France which will help you to better express your objectives in your application.

The Eiffel Scholarship experience so far has been greatly enriching and I encourage future students to apply to the program.
