This program, designed with the academic excellence of HEC Paris, offers a transformative journey for leaders aspiring to embody authentic, inspiring, and responsible leadership. Participants will be encouraged to adopt a three-dimensional reflective stance: focusing on themselves, their teams, and their broader environment. Through group work and plenary debates, this session highlights the challenges and levers for organizations and leaders aiming to implement a purpose-driven approach. The latest research in responsible leadership provides key insights into obstacles, best practices, and actionable levers.
This session is dedicated to constructing a personal vision of the leader each participant aspires to be, along with a personal development plan centered on purpose and responsibility. Utilizing collaborative co-development and co-coaching workshops facilitated by HEC professors, participants will structure their development plans using a dedicated framework, which may include:
• Context
• Purpose objectives at three levels (organization, team, self)
• Available resources and means
• Anticipated obstacles and constraints
• Concrete action plans
Each participant will build and present their responsible leadership development plan, receiving feedback from peers.
Research from HEC's "Purpose-based Leadership" Chair indicates that empowering middle management is crucial for enhancing the performance of purpose-driven leadership. This session focuses on providing tools and methods that leaders can use to develop their teams' collective intelligence, thereby improving organizational dynamics and the impact of their purpose.
While current organizational discourse often addresses external complexity through decision-making models in uncertain environments (VUCA, BANI), internal complexity and inherent contradictions in leadership roles are rarely tackled. Drawing on HEC professors' research, participants will explore these complexities and their impact on the performance of purpose-driven companies. They will engage in a collaborative workshop aimed at reducing this complexity to sustainably engage their teams.
