Youth Leadership Initiative
This is a selective program for talented students seeking an immersive academic experience.
Applications will open at the beginning of March for the Summer 2026 edition of the Youth Leadership Initiative. We invite you to pre-register your interest to be alerted when the application portal opens for this popular program.
The first admissions jury will be held early April and and it is recommended that motivated candidates submit their application for consideration before this first admissions jury to increase their chance of a successful application.
Candidates who apply before the first jury will be notified by mid-April about the status of their application. Applications will be reviewed every 2 weeks after the first jury and candidates will be informed of decisions within 3 weeks of submitting their application for as long as places are available.
Following successful admission to the program, families will have 14 days to confirm their place and pay their tuition fees.

The application occurs online.
All applications should be prepared by the student with the agreement of the parent/ legal guardian.
Application requirements:
- Most recent school report (academic transcript)
- Several essay questions designed to highlight motivation and personal reflection
- Justification of English fluency
(this can be an official recognized test such as Cambridge, IELTS, TOIEC, TOEFL or the Duolingo Online English Test. It may also be a letter of recommendation from your English teacher, indicating your CEFR level overall and specifically in Speaking and Listening) - €30 application fee payable online
Given the intensity of this non-traditional experience and the length of the days on campus, the academic transcript is a key element of your application to ensure the right conditions for successful participation in the program. The admissions team takes into consideration the grades and teachers' comments.
Once you have confirmed your place, several documents will be required before the program starts. These include, but are not limited to, the following: parental authorization, medical form.
Participants will also be required to obtain insurance for the duration of their stay at HEC Paris. Insurance should include medical and repatriation coverage as well as personal liability.
