Why this masterclass and why now?
Executive coaching increasingly unfolds in psychological terrain that many coaches prefer not to name. As anxiety, burnout and emotional fragility become routine at senior levels, coaches are asked, implicitly or explicitly, to work in a grey zone between performance, resilience and mental health. This session addresses the ethical, professional and human risks of that space, and asks what maturity and accountability now demand.
The future of executive coaching will be shaped by how responsibly we navigate this blurred line.
What you will explore
- The real boundaries between coaching, counselling and therapy, and what responsible practice looks like when those lines blur.
- Risk, referral and supervision: practical frameworks for when to hold, when to hand over and how to protect all parties.
- Ethics under pressure: contracting, confidentiality and scope when stakes are high and timelines are short.
- Personal stance: working with your own limits, triggers and bias without abandoning the client.
- Implications for standards, accreditation and reputation in the profession.
