Individual study program
The HEC Paris PhD program welcomes every year PhD students from other universities who wish to benefit from courses and seminars as well as individual supervision by the professor who is the primary host.
The Individual Study Program (ISP) is a customized program that addresses the individual needs of each visiting Ph.D. student: the course plan is determined in close collaboration with the Ph.D. office, the department involved, and the professor who acts as the primary host for the student.
Duration: In general from one semester to one year.
Admissions: To apply for the program the application must include:
- Completed ISP application form
- Copy of diplomas
- Transcripts
- Copy of research papers (thesis, publications…)
- A brief description of your research project (2-3 pages)
- Recommendation letter from your supervisor at your home institution
- Birth certificate (translated into French or English)
- A passport sized photo
The complete application must be sent by email only to doctorat@hec.fr. Please indicate 'Application ISP + your name' in the subject of your message).
Application fee: 50€ (online payment)
Application deadline: At least 3 months prior to the start of the visit. Please note, that for an admission in September, the application must be received before mid-May.
The admissions decision will typically be made within five weeks.
Tuition: 30 000€ / year. Tuition is adapted accordingly to the length of the visit (2500€/month).
A HEC Paris ISP certificate is awarded to participants who have met the program requirements.
