About the event
At the conference, executives from our lighthouse plants will share their strategies for reconfiguring supply chains during times of heightened geopolitical risk, forming and deploying top-down and bottom-up operational strategies, using innovation and continuous improvement for accelerated growth, enabling circularity to combat scarcity of critical resources, and considering sustainability in products/services and processes. Two supply chain financing companies will show how inventory risk can be contracted away and how procurement contracts can drive financial returns and the adoption of green investments along firms’ supply chain.

The organizer Sam Aflaki, Academic Director of the Industrial Excellence Conference & Award, will speak, and the academic team will be part of the jury. Professor Arnd Huchzermeier will moderate a panel discussion between finalists. Sam Aflaki is also Professor and Chair of the Information Systems and Operations Management Department at HEC Paris.
Conference venue and accommodation
The conference and dinner take place at the Hotel Dolce by Wyndham Versailles on October 23rd. The hotel is a beautiful château which is located in a 14-hectare park, approximately 20km south-west of Paris.

Schneider Electric plant visit (optional)
On October 24th, Schneider Electric, one of our 2025 IEA Finalists, offers a guided tour of their Le Vaudreuil plant. Attendees of the conference are expected to travel to the plant on their own. The tour will start in the morning at 9:45 a.m. and last 2.5 hours.
