At HEC Paris, the marketing course was immersive in a way few courses are. Our professors and guest speakers were working professionals who constantly linked frameworks to real-world challenges.

I’ve always believed that the places we choose to learn from say as much about who we want to become as what we want to know. Coming from an international background, I wanted something more than lectures, I wanted challenge, connection, and creativity. When I saw the HEC Paris Summer School and the chance to do both Strategic Marketing & Branding at HEC Paris and Entrepreneurship & Digital Innovation at TUM Campus Heilbronn, I knew it was the kind of summer that could change me.

At HEC Paris, the marketing course was immersive in a way few courses are. Our professors and guest speakers were working professionals who constantly linked frameworks to real-world challenges. What made the course especially engaging was the common thread of a case study that ran throughout. Each new idea wasn’t just theory; it was something we applied to that case, shaping and refining it until our final presentation felt like a strategy we could confidently stand behind. Because the professors drew from their own professional experience, the concepts were alive, relevant, and memorable.

Then came the joint HEC-TUM Entrepreneurship & Digital Innovation program, which carried a very different energy. The room buzzed with creativity from day one. Professors encouraged us not just to generate ideas but to structure them, and the pitching competitions made that real. We had to learn to present our projects in a way that was compelling, clear, and persuasive, skills that extend far beyond entrepreneurship itself.

Equally important was the campus experience. From the very first day, everyone was open and welcoming. Friendships and connections happened almost immediately, making the international environment feel both inspiring and supportive. Working side by side with such motivated peers gave me not only teammates but also a network I know will last long beyond the summer.

Looking back, HEC Paris sharpened my strategic mindset, while TUM strengthened my ability to innovate and communicate ideas effectively. Together, the programs equipped me with tools I can apply directly to my studies and career and gave me a global network that I know will last. I would recommend them to anyone seeking rigorous academic content combined with practical skills in an international environment.
