Alessandro Tripoli on Elevating a Global Career with an EMBA
"Strategic frameworks, leadership models, financial insights— I could apply them in real time. It was like upgrading the operating system while keeping the machine running."

Alessandro Tripoli’s career has taken him all over the world. Originally from a small town in Sicily, he spent over two decades building an international career across multiple continents and sectors. “I began in France at the Renault Group in 2005, then returned to Italy for leadership roles at Ducati and Husqvarna,” he shares. “In 2010, I moved back to France to join PSA (now Stellantis), before taking on a major international assignment in South America.”
He worked in Brazil and Argentina for the Sogefi Group and later moved to the United States, where he established the American subsidiary for Holophane and led its operations. Since 2020, he has moved back to France, bringing his extensive worldwide experience full circle.
Alessandro has worked across multiple parts of the automotive industry, including car and motorcycle manufacturers, Tier 1 and 2 suppliers, lithium-ion battery recycling, climate and vehicle refrigeration systems. This broad exposure, he says, has given him “a comprehensive understanding of the value chain and the agility to drive results in fast-evolving environments.”
DISCOVERING THE HEC EMBA
Despite his deep operational expertise, Alessandro reached a point where he felt experience alone was not enough. “I’ve always believed in purposeful growth,” he shares. “At a certain stage, I realized that experience alone wasn’t enough. I needed a world-class program to expand my perspective and sharpen my edge.”
HEC Paris stood out to him for a few reasons. “The school distinguished itself not just with rankings and reputation, but by the visible transformation I saw in alumni,” he says. He also valued the international aspect of the program and the strength of its global network of alumni.
Alessandro chose the 2-weekends-a-month format of the EMBA to accommodate his demanding professional schedule. “This allowed me to remain fully operational in my professional role while pursuing my studies,” he explains. Balancing a leadership role, family, and the EMBA courses required discipline. “It definitely was not easy. I sacrificed weekends and personal time. It was a test of discipline, resilience, and focus.”
What made the HEC Paris Executive MBA particularly impactful for him was how applicable the lessons were from day one. “Strategic frameworks, leadership models, financial insights- I could apply them in real time,” he says. “It was like upgrading the operating system while keeping the machine running!”
One of the biggest areas of personal growth for him was leadership. “The EMBA refined not only what I do as a leader but how I think as one,” he says. “It deepened my self-awareness, strengthened my resilience, and expanded my capacity to lead high-performing teams.” He adds, “I began leading not just with my intellect, but with empathy and authenticity- qualities I believe makes a true difference.”
THE EMBA EXPERIENCE
Before starting the EMBA Alessandro knew that he wanted to enhance his strategic leadership skills and prepare for larger cross-border roles.” For this, he selected the Luxury specialization, where he developed a strategic project for Ducati, a high-end motorcycle brand. “This experience deepened my understanding of premium brand positioning, customer experience, and value creation in the luxury industry.”
Another impactful part of the program was the Outdoor Leadership Seminar. “It stripped leadership down to its essence: human connection, courage, and adaptability,” he says. This experience, along with his Capstone Project, helped him consolidate all that he had learned in a practical and lasting way. “It wasn’t just memorable. It was transformational!”
2 YEARS ON
Today, Alessandro serves as CEO of Indel B, a role he took on a year after completing the EMBA. “The HEC Paris Executive MBA didn’t just support my career, it transformed it,” he says. “It helped me make sense of complex challenges, to turn new ideas into results, and to lead transformation with confidence.”
