Louis Vuitton’s “Clash of Titans”: Reimagining the Future of Sustainable Luxury
The second edition of the Clash of Titans innovation challenge, sponsored by Louis Vuitton and LVMH, brought together students from HEC Paris, ESSEC, SDA Bocconi, and London Business School. Their mission: "Market a sustainable line made from leftover materials and repurposed scraps, aligned with Louis Vuitton’s DNA and elevated status.”

Over several months, student teams worked in collaboration with their professors and were coached by Louis Vuitton experts. At HEC Paris, Professors Anne Michaut, in collaboration with Franck Asenkat, guided the students through market analysis, concept development, and go-to-market strategy.
Each school held an internal semi-final, judged by Louis Vuitton professionals, with the winning team advancing to the finale in Paris.
On April 9–10, 2025, the four finalist teams gathered in Paris for an immersive experience. Activities included a visit to the Louis Vuitton Dream exhibition, the Maxime Frédéric chocolate lab, and the flagship store on the Champs-Élysées, followed by final presentations at the Pont Neuf headquarters in front of a jury from Louis Vuitton and LVMH.
The HEC Paris team stood out with a customizable upcycled leather product line that balanced sustainability, innovation, and brand storytelling. They were awarded an invitation to Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Spring-Summer 2026 Fashion Show, closing an unforgettable learning experience.
