Creation of an Yves Blin fund

One year ago, the HEC Foundation received a bequest from Mr. Blin (H.54). In 2020, the Executive Board of the HEC Foundation has decided to create a capital scholarship fund called the “Yves Blin Fund”.

Mr. Blin did not specify whether he wanted his bequest to be used for a particular program, thus leaving it up to the HEC Foundation to define the use to which it would be put.

Bearing in mind the universal nature of the bequest left by Mr. Blin to the HEC Foundation and the large sums received, the members of the Executive Board wish to capitalize nearly all of it and create an “Yves Blin Fund” in the accounts of the HEC Foundation.

It will be intended to provide long-term funding for 4 scholarships, at least 2 of them awarded on the basis of social criteria, as well as a research project at HEC Paris.
By creating this fund the HEC Foundation wishes to pay tribute to Mr. Blin, acknowledge his initiative and keep up his work to help HEC to develop.

Each year the "Yves Blin Fund" will finance all or part of:
•    1 Grande Ecole scholarship based on social criteria
•    1 preparatory class scholarship based on social criteria (maximum echelon)
•    1 international scholarship (Grande Ecole excellence or MBA)
•    1 PhD scholarship
•    Funding for 1 research project

For information, there are currently 8 other funds in the HEC Foundation accounts: Dominique Mielle, Pierre Bellon, Pierre de Labouchère, Jean-Luc Bélingard, Stéphane Etroy, Philippe Ginestié, Jean-Louis Rambaud et Bertrand Schwab.
